Kidney Disease

Preclinical studies in animal models of acute and chronic kidney disease have demonstrated CAR peptide’s ability to home to diseased glomeruli, renal tubules, and renal cysts. CAR co-administration with currently available drugs have enabled substantial improvements and reversal of kidney failure in animal models. We are currently extending our studies into animal models of chronic kidney disease with the goal of concentrating drug effects in the actively remodeling areas of the diseased kidney.
